Clearing out the Subconscious
Dear Ones,
We have been in the portal between the Ring of Fire Solar Eclipse, which began on February 17, 2026, and the Blood Moon Lunar Eclipse that is on March 3, 2026. These eclipses are like a birth canal, a tunnel offering us an opportunity to shed what is no longer needed.
Interestingly, John and I have been in the process of a deep cleansing, cleaning out our basement, and getting ready to put in new flooring. Here we have stored so many memories from our thirty-six years together (and even from before we met)! Here is where we raised five daughters in a blended family.
As we sift through this barrage of old memories in greeting cards, letters, bills, receipts, toys, clothing, paint cans, and more, we find ourselves reflecting on a life full and rich.
This life also seems to have occurred eons ago. Yet its essence still filters through our current expression. As we release these to the shredder, to a resale shop, or for repackaging in a new form, we find we are letting go of our attachment to the past. We feel a freedom opening up, a space to build from and create something new.
There are spaces to unpack in our psyches, reflecting the unpacking of the basement. Our subconscious and shadow are breathing differently. We can pause, shift, recenter, and release an old understanding that may have caused a reaction before. We can respond with compassion and strength.
On the collective level, too, the world (and all the players, including each of us) is metaphorically sifting through our basements/unconscious to clear out the old, conditioned patterns of entangled judgment and fear-based reactions, including the tyrant and victim modes of being.
We may fight tooth and nail to hang on to the old power structures, including rigid thinking and fear stored in our unconscious (our basement), that have dictated our perception of right and wrong and our violent response to others we deem enemies.
It is time for a new way. These literal patterns of our entanglement, held deep in our unconscious, may be hard to let go of. They have helped us survive our pain and suffering for so long... they have held back our fears and established defenses for so long, creating an illusion that we are safe. We may not let them go easily.
Yet they keep us stuck and entrenched in an old way of being that is compromised and out of balance. It is time for regeneration.
As we work to clear our psyches (our basement), we find our way through by releasing the toxicity in our systems, standing in love and personal power, and discerning healthy responses while holding a field of possibility for the other. The time is now to step through this portal of change and act to bring about this new paradigm shift for our World.
