Best of Times & Worst of Times

Dear Ones,

“It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us”….”

This quote from Charles Dickens’ A Tale of Two Cities feels strikingly similar to our current situation!

I was reflecting on how inspiring these times are for many people, including myself, as we experience deep insights, healing, and transformation. We are awakening to a deeper understanding of our true natures.

There is more compassion and shifts in our consciousness as we realize how we have been conditioned and shaped by our circumstances. We are unlearning and reparenting ourselves, growing up, so to speak, to become independent beings who make decisions from our mature adult selves.

However, when we see news about the suffering of many people due to the devastating and dehumanizing treatment and the erosion of human rights, we might feel shock and disbelief. Can this really be happening? Our natural instinct is to freeze, fight, or deny some of these atrocities. We may feel helpless.

The Tibetan monks, an order dedicated to spiritual study, predicted that in the 20th and 21st centuries, the world would be seeded with a new kind of warrior energy, which they called Shambhala Warriors.

This new warrior energy would be essential for our era. It involves deep compassion for others, combined with a higher perspective understanding of the natural process of change in an evolutionary period. It also considers the life circumstances of the people we meet who see things differently. It recognizes how they, too, have been shaped and conditioned by their experiences.

This energy is powerful enough to embody both compassion and a fierce warrior spirit—taking right action that aligns with love and respect for all life. It holds a vision of a world built on new, sustainable foundations and structures that support the whole.

We are in this now, each developing the wisdom from doing our own shadow work, so we too can call forth our inner Shambhala warrior spirit to navigate these times with a higher perspective understanding.

It asks us to stay alert and face these challenges... to keep showing up and doing good work to support the world through its messy rebirth. We are the new warriors, essentially guiding a reset for our planet.

It is essential that through everything, we don’t give up… we hold onto the vision and bring hope, light, and heart to our world. Let us find the courage and compassion to live and meet these times.

Join us for our warrior workshops coming up soon. This next weekend, is with Dr. Stephanie Red Feather, the author of The Evolutionary Empath, and me, Carley Mattimore, as we explore the Empath and the Warrior. There are a few spaces left, if you are interested.

Hope to see you soon!

Much Love,

Carley and John
